JCQ series on-line monitor is an instrument to monitor the lightning arrester in the power system on-line. Installed in the earth line of the lightning arrester, this instrument combines a milliammeter with a discharge counter. The milliammeter indicates the leakage current flowing through the lightning arrester under the working voltage. Whether there is anything abnormal with the lightning arrester can be judged according to the milliammeter indication. The discharge counter counts the surges diverted by the lightning arrester.

The JCQ series monitor is waterproof, and all the parts that touch air are stainless parts. This structure makes the JCQ series monitor a long-life instrument.

• LED warning indicator

The LED warning indicator in the JCQ series monitor will turn light to call the patrolman’s attention when the leakage current is bigger than the value preset according to the specifications of the lightning arrester.
